Plain terms. If one of them matters to you and is not clear, email me — it is a shorter conversation than you would think.
Training and pre-incident planning aids. They are not doctrine, not a certification, and not a substitute for your department's SOPs, a manufacturer's load chart or manual, a qualified instructor, or your own size-up. Nothing here is for live-incident decisions. Where a number is not sourced, the app says so instead of inventing one.
Everything here is provided as-is. It is built carefully and tested, but I cannot promise it is free of errors, available at any given moment, or right for your department. What you do with it on the drill ground and on the fireground is your call and your responsibility.
Access to a gated app is given to a person, not a department, and it can be withdrawn at any time. Do not pass a gated link or its contents on — some of that material belongs to one department and should not leave it. The open apps are the opposite: share them as wide as you want.
They are mine. Please do not copy the code or rebuild the apps. If you want to use one with your people, or put your department's material in one, email me and we will work something out.
If you send a suggestion I may build it, and there is no obligation on either side. I will not use your name or your department's name in anything public without asking you first.
If these terms change, the new ones show up on this page with a new date on them.
