Who built this, why it exists, and what it is not.
RescueFit is Evan Giesing, a lieutenant and company officer at a career fire department in Connecticut, and his father, a retired career firefighter. That's the whole company. There's no sales team and no vendor behind it.
Every app here came out of a gap on the job. A drill that needed a way to practice rigging without pulling the kit out. A new officer who needed reps at making fireground decisions before the day he has to make them for real. A company that needed one page saying who does what on arrival. When the tool didn't exist, it got built.
They're all a single HTML page on purpose. No install, no login, no server that can be down when you're standing in the bay with a phone. Open it and it works.
These are training and pre-incident planning aids. They are not doctrine, not a certification, and not a substitute for your department's SOPs, a manufacturer's load chart or manual, a qualified instructor, or your own size-up. Nothing here is for live-incident decisions. Where a number isn't sourced, the app says so instead of inventing one.
This is a project I'm working on and have a lot of time in. Please don't just copy the code. If you want to use it with your people, email me and we'll work something out — that's a shorter conversation than you'd think.
