Who built this, why it exists, and what it is not.
Fireground.Training is Evan Giesing, a lieutenant at a career fire department in Connecticut, and his father, a retired career fire officer, also from a Connecticut department. There's no vendor behind it and no sales team.
The apps run at fireground.training. RescueFit is the company behind them — the one I'm building to get these tools in front of firefighters.
Interactive teaching tools on the phones and screens of every firefighter, so the learning keeps going when a full practical drill isn't possible — at the kitchen table, on the tailboard, on the TV in the day room — and so it fits around the training you already run instead of replacing it.
Two examples. Run the AHD app to show the different configurations and the forces each one sees, then go out on the floor and build it. Or build it first, then come back to the app to see why it loaded the way it did. And flow path: it's an important concept and a growing one in the fire service, but the unpredictability and complexity of real structures can't be captured by burning a doll house. The analyzer lets you change the building and the openings on the fly and watch what the flow does, in a way everyone in the room can follow.
Every app here started as a gap on my own job. A drill that needed reps without pulling the kit out. A new officer who needed fireground decisions before the day he makes them for real. A company that needed one page saying who does what on arrival. They're all a single HTML page on purpose: no install, no server that can be down when you're standing in the bay with a phone. Open it and it works.
These are training and pre-incident planning aids. They are not doctrine, not a certification, and not a substitute for your department's SOPs, a manufacturer's load chart or manual, a qualified instructor, or your own size-up. Nothing here is for live-incident decisions. Where a number isn't sourced, the app says so instead of inventing one.
